The field notes
How it got out of hand.
The county fair had everything it needed until the lights went out. The Ferris wheel stopped, the band lost its stage glow, and the crowd discovered that a fair without electricity is mostly just a very large parking lot.
Robert rolled in with an ACME emergency generator truck that was much larger than the outage required. Sandy climbed onto the maintenance platform, connected the carnival lights, and treated the entire midway like a personal engineering masterpiece.
One switch later, the Ferris wheel lit up, the band found its spotlight, and the crowd cheered like Robert and Sandy had invented electricity. The cotton candy survived, which is how the mission earned its official save-the-day stamp.
